Socrates - was poisoned with hemlock, but undefeated

In front the old dead flowers of poisonous hemlock-behind germinating life in green, blue and red Socrates was sentenced to death in Athens, although he was innocent. Socrates drank the cup of poison hemlock, though he could have escaped: He defeated the injustice with his courageous consequence. The painting of Fridel Dethleffs-Edelmann reminiscent of Socrates: Although his death was so painful as the death of hemlock, but his philosophy has survived his death. Socrates died before his judges and yet his ghost has the judges survives today: His philosophy lives 2,500 years after his death.
