House Edelmann in Ottersweier
Family Dethleffs goodbye to travel on 11.Apil 1934 by Fridels mother.
front from left:.
Fridel Dethleffs-Edelmann, Ursula with 9 months on the arm of Granny Edelmann next Arist Dethle
The first experience
Ursula made climbing attempts on its side rails, which is why she now gets a network that will protect them from falling out. I cooked my first coffee in "own home", which tasted strongly of the coffee machine S.2
Super Comfort: electric light in the living car
Arist wrote at night by electric light his orders from the customer at the factory Dethleffs S.2
Sense of security
Falling asleep raindrops gave us a small barrage as a concert - the us in our"dryness" a lot of peace and happiness gave.S.3
wanted by the police
Near Heilbronn: The following day drove us past 2 policemen and asked where and to where. - They were looking a living-nomadic-car due to a wanted poster. We we enjoyed ourselves very about their thoroughness. S. 3
Admired as moon travelers
In towns and villages stood us crowds of children and adults who marveled at us like moon travelers. "Ha, what, it still gives everything!" "What they do not do anything." "So make it sent." It was everybody.
A little boy asked quietly pulling incidents:
"Do you belong to the circus?" And a thick peasant asked me what we wanted "Sale! In general, we were but envied as a "luxury travelers".
For Ursula said holding stations were highest bliss - she was standing there laughing all over her little face and with anyone who spoke to her. About it forgot - especially the children - the fast moon car and chatted with the ¾-year globetrotters S 3/4

Beautiful Caravaning
It's beautiful to tear so - We lack nothing, we have a comfortable house with interchangeable garden and always new "view from the window" p.5
Grünewald has its lilies painted in 1519 - the lily of Fridel Dethleffs originated in 1930
We visited on Sunday afternoon the Stuppacher Madonna of Grünewald in the Parish Church of the Coronation in Bad Mergentheim in their chapel. They gave me a deep impression. Too bad that the houses and the temples are so heavily restored in the background. The still life of flowers with lilies in the foreground has me especially excited p.6

Wash Xenocide diapers
Wednesday before Nuremberg: I made the car "Clean Sweep" and washed diapers in the stream, then funny fluttered in front of the villa in the creek. There were hardly curious to me. Ursula lay in the sun on blankets in the grass and "devoured" young dandelion. It was very nice. In the evening Arist brought visiting with S. 7
Ursula's first swimming pool in the pond
Romance on Monday: A small pond, fields, trees with tender 1. Green and a hill with a fine, old castle - to the night a cheerful frog concert under a starry sky. And in this small pond Ursula took her first swimming pool.
That same evening, an operation and a Marvel! So many children - and all laugh with her, one had to shriek with delight and bounce again and wave. Ursula was saved. p.7
Loving Hitlerboy
Two days later: On a Meadow Way - near a small of pine trees, a Brook and allotments.. Arist from morning to evening in the city. I diaper washing, large pure making and supplying Ursula .. A Hitler boy wich hardly on our part, tending my little girl. On the day of travel he was back early at 6 on the spot. p.8
Decorated with Nazi flags
Nuremberg: On Hitler's birthday (. 20.4) ride through the decorated with swastika flags city. A great impression. p.8
Ursula is soaped in public
In Amberg me hung Arist from behind the station and therefore hidden. Found we were there: The rascals, young, old and medieval queuing outside our window. I had to clean in mind Ursula thoroughly and wash clothes. That was so necessary that I could not be deterred from me. I sent a small red-haired boy on the water and lathered Ursula from head to foot from, oiling her and pulled her chemise fresh on - to enthusiastic audiences. What should I do! In early curtains wars too dark to smelly with the windows closed - so - I ignored all viewers. Ursula was satisfied with my care - She laughed with the audience, stood up and hopped bouncy. Now of course I made people even less clear. S. 8/9
Idyllic with cold river bath - but Ursula wanted to
At the idyllic Waldnaab, right on the water with a small group of trees, 1oo meters above the landroad: From the caravan we had to look as if we were sitting in a boat and floating on the water. This random illusion became even reinforced that we very strong wind and thereby moving cars had.
It was on Saturday and Sunday: Großputztag. Twice we took in the morning, despite the cold and the wind, a river bath. It refreshed quite wonderful and we enjoyed this beautiful place - only Ursula wanted motoring. It was her long stay terribly bored at home. They scolded like a fishwife and we had to bring out everything fromthe kitchen cupboard to play. p.11

In the forest because the robbers - Dethleffs wanted by police
Once we found a campsite rather late - Arist had to do long - then we simply drove into a side road leading through a forest. We were comfortable at dinner than outside knocked a Policeman and the papers required. Someone had called him: "Because two cars are driven on forest and because they had heard a child crying." So we were as "child thieves" suspicious. As the guardian of the law, who had come by bike and companion, us and our home had looked at thoroughly, they went laughing and apologizing again. p.12
Mystical Full Moon Mood
At "Hof" an der Saale we had a romantic dwelling place: a pretty, clear spring pool - nearly a semicircle around it to ascending rocks from 2 sides to the middle, a little grass court, a way - slowly ushering in these source grove, fresh green birches and hazel. At full moon, this now seemed mystical. The rocky edges rested as scenes, the motionless trees were like black silhouettes against yellow illuminated sky and took fantastic .... Forms. - I have this full moon mood and almost eerily beautiful effect because I enjoyed the night waited until ten o'clock ½ Arist, who had to perform almost endless meetings. p.13Links:. F. Gifted with fresh water, milk and food
A working woman I had not addressed, brought me water, got us milk and food - all without you to bitten.Wir therefore always amazed at how accommodating many people. & Nbsp; P 14
Ursula is borrowed
On Friday we saw with our Davos lessons in skiing friends in a Paddler film which showed wild-water rafting through Bosnia. On Sunday all together and the family in "Anpaddeln" on the river Saale, walking in the city garden and somewhere the water we drink Kaffee.Ursula I had twice "borrowed" the mother of our friend and his sister .S. 14 u. P.17
Before Suicide
On Sunday morning suddenly peered a man of about 40 years with us through the window and said after a short introduction that he had to hang up now. He pulled a green garden trick out of his pocket, at the sight I had to explain to him that the same certainly can not stand him. When asked about the reason of this decision, he told us: "Not even one beer I can now drink" Well, we can help him out yes. We gave him a coin and he immediately agreed to continue living We were glad when he withdrew again, and he was glad that had been believed to be trick. p.18
Travel sleeper
On 2nd and 3rd May day we made ... our trip in May - first to Berneck, then through the Fichtelgebirge -our last tour was particularly beautiful. Our "Travel sleeper" - as the follower is recently called from the audience, we were standing on the road in Berneck. p.19
In the cathedral at Bamberg on the tomb of the Emperor Henry of sculptor Riemenschneider
In Bayreuth I did not see a lot of interesting, when I took a stroll with Ursula. By contrast, Bamberg was worth the visit more. Up Arist had time to visit with us the Duomo, we made a pilgrimage through the historic old town and I was looking forward to the scenic and beautiful places. In the cathedral we were long on belt separator tomb of Emperor Henry and his wife Kunigunde. Ursula found the a bit boring - She screamed once before displeasure to breastfeed Gothic vaults. p.20
War cripples disturb while drawing
Now is Monday noon. I sit in the Schlageter Street in Würzburg - very unmolested Thank God. Fortunately sleeping our little person and I come finally to draw. And I was disturbed by a war cripple, the very unpopular spoke of the future in "3. Reich" . P.23
Remidemi the Main in Würzburg
We had a beautiful weekend place again. In Main, the tent and location of Würzburg paddlers. Far from the city and the setting - very quiet and peaceful - 100 steps from the water, at a high, old poplar and a fresh powerful source.
On Sunday we got company, but we did not care; it was played violin on the other side and to various places not allowed to gramophones los fortunately everything at once. Some female paddlers were mad with Ursula and dragged it around ... We bathed, we ate at 4 am to noon: asparagus and new potatoes with great relish. p.23

Nazi Minister Ernst Röhm (SA) in Würzburg shortly before his assassination
When we moved in Würzburg on Saturday we just came to as the SA with music marched past before the Minister and Chief of Staff Röhm. Of course, we were not aware of its importance and put our cars on the Palace Square right behind the Röhm. We then had to follow later behind his car at the Promenade pace through the main streets. -S.24
Postscript: In late June, the SS on Sunday night on the streets: Chief of Staff Erich Röhm, we had seen together with his staff at the time in Würzburg, is arrested and charged, and killed the next day for treason.

Visiting Castle Ebenhausen near Kissingen
On Monday we had visited again one of my friends. Close to Castle Ebenhausen Kissingen lived Ilza Thiergarten-Utz as head of a poultry farm with a friend and her two children.
This "castle" is an old, very dilapidated building with a courtyard full water puddles where we were almost stuck. Ilza downright lives like a bohemian but poor - but it was very comfortable with her. Luckily, us the "castle ghost" which is to spit in the evening, do not bother - we slept very well in our home. In parting, the friend gave 25 eggs us. P 26
Oberhausen near Hersfeld-Hessen
This hastily sketched views I had in Oberhausen at Hersfeld. The car was parked at the side of the highway. Law an embankment with dense leafy bushes and a source with wonderful water. Links were blooming apple trees. I washed as usual diapers. p.26

Sabbath in Niederaula - surprise in the 3rd Reich
Niederaula is a strange village - by today's standards of the 3rd Reich. There are Jews who milk cows and engage in farming. Ever - so many Jews have I nevertheless since Hitler's government never seen in one place. As it was the Sabbath, when we arrived, They were seen in every street. We even got the milk from a Jewish family. The woman who milked, looks like a right lady, but she is dressed village. We were allowed to depart on Saturday with our milk jug until 9am. Apparently prohibits the rite before this time but to sell. P.30/31

The broken bowl of sour milk
Our dishes has since been reduced to 2 from pretty bowls and to 1 plate. Arist had to once again feed Ursula, while I straightened the food. On the table - still within easy distance of the two was the pretty large bowl with 1 ½ l sour milk - & nbsp; who & nbsp; thinks there evil?
Suddenly - bautz - Ursula was like lightning at the bowl - the bowl on the floor and in & nbsp; broken and the sour milk to the father both legs - and indeed the entire length and width. This time I washed the floor with sour milk. It was very clean and zart- and the pants also. P 32
Something embarrassing - otherwise it was pretty on the castle
At Castle Eichenberg at Kassel we made the time being the last visit with my friends from the academy in Karlsruhe: Elisabeth from Neuchâtel. It was difficult for us, we quot manners this &; fürnehmen & quot; adapt the house - after ours had very relaxed during the last few weeks. I meandered through smoothly. Arist - fortunately he - committed the faux pas at the table as Ursula became restless to declare something impossible, I was not able to decipher ..
A followed about three seconds, embarrassing, general silence. We two we smiled sympathetically to ... .Ursula showed that it is still quite inexperienced in morals.
The old baroness and Elisabeth visited us on the 2nd night in the car, as I fed Ursula. The on came as a teamster and farted like a rapid-fire cannon. Finally Elisabeth still got a wet rock. Thereupon, recommended the two ladies.
Otherwise, it was very nice for us to Eichenberg. P 33

Whit Monday: holiday with family, meeting with Gypsies
Hameln: Bath in the Weser in the sun and biting wind. A good coffee for breakfast with Hutzelbrot of Oma. Diaper washing - Ursula got me on holiday 3 times something in the pants. – A little letter writing. 2 prospective (serious seemingly) show the living- car. In the afternoon for a ride in the car through the festively flagged - teem with people and vehicles of all kinds, back and on the Ohrberg Park - there sausage with mustard and beer because of having no ice and no cakes.
Move met our "colleagues of the road" - Gypsies with an old car as coaches for their carts - then still a little in front of our house walk - in the ice woman for 40 pennies mixed retrieved and eaten with high enjoyment.
On Tuesday morning, I'm back in Hameln and wait and wait for Arist. p.P.36

First night journey: to Minden
Arist wanted evening still drive to Minden to the morning the same in the morning to come to work. We therefore drove the 1st time at night and then bow just outside the town in a side path. We put the roof up and discovered at bedtime that we were at a bathhouse - near the Weser river. So we had our morning swim safely: Although a little cold this time. A sharp wind blew and because of the rain yesterday the water was very cool. 37

The Westphalia - freshly cooked, peeled potatoes
People in Westphalia were like their dwellings: hidden, barely visible, shy - not too cheerful, little talkative, often quite rude. I was little charmed by them and got us reluctant milk in their courts.
But I was a day equal to 2 times offset by special concessions in astonishment. In a village, far from the main road gave me a peasant woman milk, eggs, honey and freshly cooked, peeled potatoes - we ate immediately scrambled.
When we were looking for a night parking space, a farmer offered us without asking his own country as a parking space at. p.38
Introduction to the construction of caravans
In Bremervörde I went to the post and met a couple who wanted to build a living- car. I had to teach all the details of our car. p.39
Forbidden trip to the lighthouse on the Elbe
Fährhaus Twielenfleth an der Elbe: When the ferry <prohibition signs> stand for cars. The views of the Elbe was very nice, but behind the dike could see nothing more of it. But we wanted to be on the water and enjoy everything from the car on Sunday. It was drizzling strong and was quite chilly - not pleasing outdoors. We wanted to pull sad again, as us locals said that the policeman was not very strict with those who did not see the prohibition mark.
So we drove the not very wide dyke road - for a path that led to the outside, searching. Since there was now a bit steep dyke up, because the nose of the car was apparently released in the air and once on the other side down down. On a very genteel way we rocked pace along until about 500 meters from the lighthouse - which was great.
The lighthouse - a piece of old knight's castle - stood with Gothic windows on a steep cement foundation a few meters in front of the same. We were thrilled!
The guards came and marveled at and just welcomed us. He congratulated us for predicted wind, the feet dry and dry air including promised our car and also a carefree night. Then we sat at the window and watched the Saturday operation on the same. The large, small and medium-sized ships, cargo and passenger steamer, fast and slow gliding - the lights of the near and distant lighthouses flashed and shone still and motionless in the night. At midnight we went to bed and did not hear anything more than half asleep sometimes tooting of a large ship, the forward announced his arrival at the signal station.
On Saturday in the morning the last winer from Hamburg harbor ran out - past us. Then there was the whole day pretty quiet - only a few sailors had ventured out in the wind. We went with the guards on his tower could tell us everything, and rejoiced in the picture from the air.
Ursula got then - by the wife of the guard - hot water for a proper bath p.4
Photo: The three Dethleffs - Cabriolet had to be covered, the residential car, however, was in 1934 weatherproof and with lifting roof even almost airconditioned .
German smugglers bring persecuted Jews in Denmark:
From the lighthouse keepers, we learned that on the Danish border lately good money could earn.
Many Jews who became uncomfortable in the 3rd Reich, could be settle by fishermen with their boats after a short ride across the border to no longer return. P 43
The drive to the lake ended the Wadden
We drove again towards the coast and landed at Dorumer depth. Delighted us thrilled when we learned that we could take the car to the living water. And then lit it silver ahead. Average high grass we drove straight it happening - but oh dear - There was indeed no trace of water - we were on the Wadden Sea and it was low tide.
Far and wide nothing to see of the lake. In depth the whole Dorumer fishing fleet stack in the mud, waiting for the tide, which should help them in the night to catch crabs.
It was nice, despite disappointment in solitude. In Grass Wind nodded in soft purple Beach flowers and in the west the sun slowly sank in reflecting Schlick. It was up to ½ 10:00 still light at midnight sat the flood a -. At 2 am I heard protract the fishermen and their engines rumbled, then I heard a while uniform waves - as we had got up at 6 o'clock everything dry. p.45

We live too expensive
Today, we have, at last may made monthly statement. And it turned out that we have already spent 120 M for the budget - ie eat less smoked eel, drink more mint tea and less coffee. Yes: smoked eel, fresh from the smokehouse, which is very expensive ..
A medium-sized costs 100 M. wolffish and flounder for 6M do it well. Finally, salmon and mackerel or kippers.
The asparagus season is now nearly over. On the field, we recently bought us 3 pounds. We do not live badly: we eat eel down the paper because the greasy dishes are so bad to flush.
Accident - a hole in our living-car
June 1 began with the fact that a man rammed our living-car with his cart and we remained a hole for patching, for which he paid 25 M. Hopefully it mends us for the sum. P.46
Without heating = frozen slices in April
I'm glad it's finally warm again and we can sit outdoors. That one night, even without training pants, dressing gown or robe can go to bed. (Once we had frozen slices). p.46
Wash in the Weser laundering - a problem
Geestemünde: We slept the first night at the quay between excavators and workshops - but still within easy distance. In the morning, an amiable young man drove us in the boat on the sandy beach on the other side of the Weser for morning bath. After I had done my homework, I wanted to do laundry. The water was very close.
But - oh dear - 2 m I stood on the quay,
the water was here unattainable.I had to pull back with my bucket full of laundry. p.48
When two quarrel ...
We parked in Geestemünde on a path between Weekend gardens under the shade of a leafy tree, 10 steps from a cow pasture away that bordered directly to the beach. We had a good conscience.
However - the road was Private and leased from a weekend tripper. The tenant was a gentleman who had a highly developed sense of ownership and order. In the evening we came back from the city, he marched his garden path and stepped toward Arist with the not very polite question:
"Well, you want to stay here?"
In Arist the blood increased, an original Dethleffs'sche irate effervescence rose up in him and in as sharply as the question was asked, he replied:
"Of course we do!"
Whereupon the two giant still some brief sentences shouted - until the tenants - exclaiming his garden path back border again:
(This exclamation has FDE not listed)
Arist came angry in his wigwam and wanted to grab immediately, disconnect. In 2 minutes, I had the heat thermometer again. To normal and our house had moved somewhat guiltily off to make another site locate. He had realized that weekend tripper had certain rights on the way and he ev. Was nevertheless obliged to courtesy. I was relocating an abomination. In addition, the place was good and beautiful. So I pulled out my good coat, sat a confident, but inclined to kindness mien and marched the garden path, flourished at the beautiful blue lupines. I asked this gentleman polite question, how far would he have to dispose of the "Private", as we no longer wish to withdraw as needed us.
At first, I was received with cold air. However, my hypocritical politeness disarmed the anger of the Sir immediately. "Oh we do not disturb it. We might like to stay. "
We should say the same of our intention, etc. Then a little conversation with husband, wife and son - we wish each other a good Sunday and I went home satisfied. Allwo the husband was a bit perplexed, because no other course was possible this evening.
Growling he agreed and we stayed. We ate pudding night and forgot all about the "Lord of the living-car" his wounded pride - especially as I could tell him that the "Lord of the plot" would have felt very guilty.
Sunday was gorgeous. We also did not mind that we had massive visitors until Tuesday, the incoming watched at the window and thus our daughter caused great joy.
On Tuesday morning we went on - through North Oldenburg. S.49-50

Ursula's plunge from the loft bed on the sofa
In Bremen Ursula has fallen for the first time out of bed. She could not wait. Before I had the power completely removed, which was attached to protect the grid, they got up and made it fast a plunge into the depths - in this case on the sofa. When I lifted her pale with terror, they laughed in my beaming face. p.51
Visit two warships
In Wilhelmshafen we visited the "Kreuzer Leipzig", the only major warship that was just in the harbor and the torpedo boat "Jaguar". Ursula we dragged despite initial protests of the officer on watch who wanted to give a sailor for storing, anywhere with. She was very nice and laughed with the many blue uncles. While we were on the "Jaguar", she slept in large part in the car and received when she woke up and came up to the window company of 2 loveable sailors with which she laughed heartily when we came back. p.53
Early in the morning - fleeing noisy cows
Bensersiel: The car we found beneath the bank by the lakeside next to a cow pasture. That should get us bad: we had not counted on the curiosity and persistence of the cows.
Breakfast by ¾ 5 they woke us up from deep sleep with polyphonic Muh-Muh. Soon afterwards shook the car, there was a knock on the walls and rubbed against our otherwise neat and considerate treated paint - Arist snarled and shooing cows - we had five minutes rest.
Thereupon a renewed, loud mooing and again a Beast rubbed the bump on our house wall or licking the dew of the night of our four wings.
Arist was no longer tenable, he pimped out and drove up the hill, beyond the fence, where we got up early in the shelter of a barn wall until Monday. p.54

The "ark-caravan" of the writer Hauser
In an East Frisian town told us, beaming a young man, he had ready yesterday our car in the magazine "Week" seen: with outside and inside. When we questioned this and he even showed our photos, he maintained his position and took us straight his magazine "Week".
That was not our rolling home, but the "ark" of the writer Hauser from Hamburg - externally and internally totally different - especially colorful red and white, but not elegant gray. It may be that it is constructed similarly and may run at the same time from the stack - Hauser now moves back and forth across Germany.
Picture of F. Dethleffs-Edelmann sold - money created equal
Mother wrote to me from the sale of an image in the Stuttgart Art Association, where I had a collective exhibition in May. Now I can buy the dress I me already in Karlsruhe had wanted to buy: It is a pretty light blue with a blue-white-black silk collar and .... p.59
Nazi-Labor Service sings "Green is the Heath"
In Syke, a destination for the Bremer "Forest Friends", we camped this time. The morning was only beautiful. Sonnengold played on the floor, between the trunks and leaves, the birds rejoiced and sang with the many, many labor service learning vied marching in rank and file past us.
"Green is the Heath" it echoed repeatedly by the high Dom , Ursula was charmed. P 59
Photo rigth: House music was in 1934 "en vogue" among academics. Here plays Arist Dethleffs accordion for his wife and Ursula - normally he preferred to play on his violin, but that accordion fit better than the violin to the camping. In the background the living-car with tent, which had been prepared in the upholstery shop in the factory Dethleffs.
New clutch - to my bedside in the repair shop
A few days later, we sit in a big car repair shop Westfalia in Wiedenbrück. Arist wants to build a new clutch. Our Cabriolet and living-car standing in the hall. We liked it stretched on the meadow behind the house, where we slept the night (of course in the living-car) a tent roof against the sun. And as we now sit and wait. Father Arist plugged in overalls and help.
The next day I was sick. It was me getting up impossible. So I had while at the the workshop was hammered, drilled and soldered car in the stuffy air in bed.
Me it took a water cocoa for healing - about 1 liter of water and 3 teaspoons cocoa. He was thin and did not help much. I was also the next night little sleep and had the effect that I felt even worse the next day. Arist now had to also supply the household and Ursula addition to his work. p.61
Poverty is felt
A feast for the eyes are in almost all cities, the great shop windows -especially the groceries. You could not stimulating and decorative effect - the poor hungry, who need it to run over.
Arist wanted in a so. "Wiener almond roasting" buy almonds for me. Then he heard two men talking - one of them said: "Yes almonds, if we had only money." Then Arist bought no more almonds in this business. p.66
Envy of many SA and SS owner oft he cars
In Aachen was flagged. Great Riding Championship Tournament! We drove back and forth across the city.
A plethora of Dutch cars were in the parking lots - heavy, elegant cars. But German "free boxes" can be seen very often by SA and SS riders controlled (what the people annoyed not little -. You get the soon to hear every day) p.67
Ursula hospital Cologne
Ursula had on Saturday in Cologne something cold. After sunbathing in the afternoon he was gone. At night, she began to cough. I watched her - she had revealed itself. She coughed again, I probably had to see a half-dozen times for her. In the morning she had severe breathing and wheezing. Therefore we drove around ½ 6:00 to Cologne to the hospital and let them investigate. The doctor said there could be pneumonia. What now? S.68-69

Piece night drive from Cologne to Karlsruhe to Aunt Ruth hospitalized
Arist phoned Aunt Ruth (doctor in Karlsruhe) - who said we should just go to her. So we drove around ½ 21:00 from Cologne from the middle of the night to Karlsruhe. The ride was absolutely fantastic. Until Coblenz a car stringed to the other. It went through narrow roads and around sharp corners usually in 50 or 60 km / h speed. From 22 o'clock it was quiet, from 23 h hardly a car. Later we only overtook the one and the other of the "giants of the road".
From Koblenz to Bonn and also a piece above Mainz we drove along the Rhine. Fabulously that was on the dead highway. We drove through town as Bacharach, Rheine, Rolandseck, and past brightly lit places from which every now and then a little music played - saw couples arm in arm --- and all transitions SS men in black uniforms. Everything whizzed past our eyes - and our ears were listening to the breath of the small Ursula.
In Mainz there was no one on the street. We drove the markings to Worms. The stream had become wide, the land flat and wide, from the dawn appeared the yellow of the basket fields. Mist layered over the meadows. Mannheim - the first car market - sleepy men and women who leave their trotting horses and hardly listen to our horn signal .---- And now it is morning - very quickly - we are alert and Ursula breathes quiet. Now the Hard forest, protecting property and the well-known walks - my God - we are indeed in Karlsruhe. Man - Arist - in Karlsruhe.
To 5¼ o'clock we arrived. Almost 1 hour later Ursula was in a large, white hospital bed in Ruth's clinic and I had my bed in her room. Diagnosis: it could be pneumonia. Ursula slept with a cold wrap the homeopath through well - it was already quite jolly in the morning.
Just Ursula wakes up - thanks to Ruth she is healthy - and we go to the grandmother and then the next day - on June 6, 1934 - we celebrate all together Ursula's 1st birthday at "Gogge". Summary p.68 to 72
