Delphiniums and hollyhocks Fridel Dethleffs-Edelmann has often painted the blue delphiniums from her garden, but only once during the nightly illumination.
The painting combines their early style of realistic painting, which she has developed in the New Objectivity with Expressionism.
The dreamy, warm colors of Chagall shine on in her painting. But her own style remains unmistakable.
