Mary Magdalene with Jesus in her arms

A wide staircase with blue plates rises. Over the horizon Mary Magdalene looks at Jesus in her arms. She is surrounded by a halo of the rising sun. The dawn begins slowly and the face of Jesus recorded. But still most of his face shrouded in the shadow of the Cross suffered death.

Mary Magdalene witnessed the first woman the symbolic resurrection of Jesus. She is the female part of Christianity - after having followed Jesus, has supported him, she now holds Jesus in her arms and supports him even after his death in the resurrection by God - of bodily resurrection, the Bible is not speaking.

Mary Magdalene for the caring love of women in Christianity. Ursula Dethleffs was close to Christianity, thanks to their grandmother, their parents and the parish in Isny. That Ursula the importance of women in 1956 themed is not surprising.

Source: Prof. Dr. Hans Küng, Christianity, 1999 - S. 95: "It finally went right from the beginning not just a men's movement, but a history also of women who followed Jesus ... Mara Magdalena testified as the first raising of Jesus."
