Summer Bouquet in check pattern

The bouquet in a glass vase is the shining center. The diamonds in the tablecloth and curtain form the framework.

In summer bouquet light up all the colors that grow in the meadows of the Allgäu: milk thistle, light cloves, buttercups, cow parsley and more. Soft, the artist has painted the flowers. Hart, however, is the form of checks - this harshness is mitigated: the artist uses the muted reds of the flowers in the bouquet.

The flower paintings by Fridel Dethleffs-Edelmann are among their most important works since her studies at the beginning of the twentieth century: The oil painting "Summer Bouquet on Karo" is all painted in their style of the fifties: While the flowers painted naturalistically in earlier periods, is it comes to the feeling that awaken her in this later period, the flowers in the viewer.
