1925 - after her studies - she was a master student of Prof. Ernst Wuertenberger .

Was it at the beginning of the 20th To be admitted century still difficult as a woman at the art school , so she won in 1930 with her flower painting " Old fashioned bouquet " the Silver Prize of the city of Karlsruhe.

The painting " Dahlia " is a wonderful example for her work with flowers and for their training at the Karlsruhe School : Before the dark  background is the simple vase. It forms the contrast to the lush blooms of dahlias in their glorious colors .

The artful arrangement to describe unnecessary - the look at the picture explains it all better. At the bottom of some conceited green leaves form the transition from the flowers to the vase.

On the table three peaches are draped . They emphasize with their simple shape and color also the evenness of the vase . The light plays on its glaze. Fallen petals on the table to remind you that even the most magnificent beauty on earth is fleeting .
